Grow a living practice
with the support of friends in the Dao
The human heart longs for unity, connection and harmony. Daoist teachings impart methods for cultivating Qi, caring for the body, and elevating the spirit. Walking alone on the Path is never as enriching as walking with others. The autumn community journey is an opportunity to support each other, go further and develop your daily practice.
This journey is not a course: it is a period of community engagement allowing practitioners to develop their practice with the support of the community. Express your aspirations, define your goals, commit to your practice and establish the conditions that support it on a daily basis, participate in weekly circles to share and stay inspired.
Whatever your current level of practice, beginner or advanced, getting involved in the community will help you develop it, evolve it and establish a certain consistency. Sharing with friends in the Dao is a valuable condition that sustains the practitioner in the long term.
Express your aspiration
Something deep in you
brought you to the Daoist teachings.
It lives in your heart, in your spirit,
and can be felt in your body.
Identify what you need to cultivate most
at this point of your journey
to actualise this calling.
Name your aspiration to cultivate Qi,
to refine Spirit, to balance the body
- your aspiration in itself
is a powerful driving force.
Define your objective
The Daoist teachings recommend
to practice a balance of methods
in movement, Yang, and in stillness, Yin.
First, identify the methods you want to work with : Qi Gong, Tai Ji Quan, Meditation,
Scriptures study and recitation, etc.
Then, define your objective by making it SMART : Specific, Measurable, Attainable,
Realistic and Time-Bound.
