Grow a living practice
with the support of friends in the Dao

The human heart strives for unification, connexion, and harmony. The teachings of Daoism offer methods to cultivate Qi, care for the body, and elevate the spirit. Just like any medicine, it is only effective as much as it is applied. Walking the Way alone is never as rich as walking together. Our autumn community challenge is an opportunity to connect and support each other, so as to go further than where we could all go by ourselves.

The challenge is not a course - it is a specific time of community engagement for practitioners to build and grow their practice with the support of the community. Express your aspirations, define your objectives, get into your practice, and establish the conditions that support your practice in daily life.

Every individual is unique - and nobody is special. Every participant defines its own focus for practice, according to its own conditions and objectives.
Then, once a week, we all get together for a community sharing circle to reflect about our own personal experience of growing in our practice, to share the inspiration and motivation, but also overcome obstacles together.

Whatever the current state of your practice, whether beginner or confirmed, engaging with the community will help you build it or grow it further, and establish constancy.
Sharing with friends in the Dao is a precious condition that supports a practitioner in the long run.

Express your aspiration

Something deep in you
brought you to the Daoist teachings.
It lives in your heart, in your spirit,
and can be felt in your body.
Identify what you need to cultivate most
at this point of your journey
to actualise this calling.
Name your aspiration to cultivate Qi,
to refine Spirit, to balance the body
- your aspiration in itself
is a powerful driving force.

Define your objective

The Daoist teachings recommend
to practice a balance of methods
in movement, Yang, and in stillness, Yin.
First, identify the methods you want to work with : Qi Gong, Tai Ji Quan, Meditation,
Scriptures recitation, etc.
Then, define your objective by making it SMART : Specific, Measurable, Attainable,
Realistic and Time-Bound.
More example of SMART objectives
in the community.

Grow your daily practice

Get into the practice.
Come online for weekly community sharing,
or post regular messages to stay engaged.
Reflect on your practice,
identify the conditions that support it,
and the conditions that deter it.
Share with friends in the Dao about your achievements, and about your obstacles.
Evolve, deepen, establish constancy.
